As of July 23, 2014 FACE Corp is under dynamic new management team. Executive Director, Myke Washington, assumed the helm with an ambitious agenda: to bring Martial Arts, Aerobics, General Fitness, Mentoring, Tutoring, Counseling, Dance, Computer skills, and a wide array of other youth and family-oriented activities to the Plainfield community in a way never before seen.
In 1986, Washington presented his proposal to establish a karate team to then P-CAL, President Stephen Jordan Jr. for a board approval and thousands of youth and family members were served through activites centered on Karate. The groundwork was laid. He continued to bring martial arts discipline, self confidence, brotherhood and sisterhood, and many of the other values associated with comprehensive training to scores of youth and adults over the years, as a public school teacher, businessman and community role model, as well as a proud father and husband.
Mr. Roger Bush Hamilton, longtime business owner, now serves as board President, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge, expertise, wisdom and inspiration. Mr. Hamilton, a father, husband and veteran martial artist, is the owner of highly successful Hamilton Martial Arts Academy, and has provided us with administrative guidance and resources.
Our Board Treasurer, Mr. Ronald James, brings with him a wealth of valuable experiences. As an IT Networking Technician, business owner, husband, church member, and veteran, he has impacted the lives of many, as well. He is hopeful of seeing this organization built strong, from a financial standpoint. He is thrilled about the Our Board Treasurer, Mr. Ronald James, brings with him a wealth of valuable experiences. Mr. Earl Ross, Vice-President, is a seasoned business owner with years of local marketing know-how and community networking skills. A well-respected entrepreneur, he is a proud husband and father, has had years of experience in running a successful martial arts school, and is excited about the prospect of FACE Corp evolve into a greater force of youth and community improvement.
Board Secretary, Alonzo Adams, comes with a valuable set of creative talents. With over 25 years as a professional artist, he as garnered numerous awards in art exhibitions. Many publications have featured articles on Alonzo, including Art Business News, Black Enterprise, Images Magazine, Upscale Magazine, and ESPN Magazine to name a few. He formerly served on the board of Plainfield, NJ based Ducret School of Art. His organizational skills will serve FACE Corp, well. He is a proud father and husband.
All of our board members are working hard to see to it that the governance of FACE Corp is impeccable and competent. It is our hope that various partnering organizations and individuals will support us in accomplishing the work that must be done in and around Plainfield and beyond.
The great work done by PAL/P-CAL over the years serves as a catalyst and keeps the spirit of community service alive, in all of our endeavors. Our immediate plans include programs such as Martial Arts, Aerobics, Zumba, and Dance, with computers, Tutoring, Counseling, Sewing, Art, Bowling, Boxing, Boat Safety, Fishing, Music, and a host of other programs and events to follow.
We have connected with some talented individuals, both locally and distant, each committing to assist us in one way or another, in our endeavors. Musicians, Artists, Personal Trainers, Teachers, Athletes and others are applauding this noble mission, some agreeing to serve as advisors and supervise projects. But with limited finances, we find ourselves at a virtual stand-still, without your monetary assistance. We urge you to do what you can help. In addition to funding for space rental and We have connected with some talented individuals, both locally and distant, each committing to assist us in one way or another, in our endeavors. Musicians, Artists, Personal, we are in need of such items as office desks, chairs, file cabinets, computers, supplies, fitness mats, mirrors, safety equipment, and much more, in order to be successful.
We are destined and determined to improve the lives of children, their families and their communities, by laying strong foundations and consistently utilizing our resources to build well-constructed and diverse roads to success! Our children's karate and dance classes are underway. Join us in the noble cause.
